Mrs. Trekeelia Simon, School Counselor

Mrs. Trekeelia Simon

Hello Hornet Families!

My name is Trekeelia Simon, and I’m proud to serve as the school counselor here at Lesslie Elementary—Go Hornets! I’ve been helping students grow, learn, and shine since 2009, and I’ve been part of the Lesslie family since 2013.

A little about me—I'm a graduate of Winthrop University with a B.A. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in School Counseling. I grew up in Hartsville, SC, and now live right here in Rock Hill with my husband and our two children. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me enjoying time with my family, serving at church, traveling, trying new restaurants, or staying active.

As your school counselor, my mission is simple: to work together with families, staff, and our community to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, and academically. I’m here to help remove barriers to learning and ensure every Hornet feels safe, supported, and ready to succeed.

Here’s how I can help:

· Classroom Lessons that teach important life skills

· Small Group Counseling for building friendships, coping skills, confidence, and more

· Short-Term Individual Counseling for personal support

· Connections to Outside Resources for families who may need additional help

· School-Wide Initiatives that support student success and development

· Collaboration with families, staff, and community members

If you’d like to refer your child for short-term counseling services, you can call me, email me, or use our referral link here

(803) 981-1910

If you are interested in being connected with more intensive mental health services, please see information about mental health services here or contact me.

We’re in this together—and I’m so glad we get to partner in helping your child thrive!
